Prerna Kohli, one of the Founding Partners of the Firm, is a highly skilled and accomplished attorney specializing in Dispute Resolution, with a focus on mediation and conciliation. With over 30 years of experience, she possesses extensive knowledge in mediation and regulatory matters. Alongside leading the Mediation and Conciliation practice vertical, she is also spearheading the Overseas Indian Desk of the Firm.

She strongly advocates mediation, emphasizing the power of active listening and empathy in resolving disputes. Mediation, in her view, offers a cost-effective and emotionally considerate alternative to traditional legal proceedings. Prerna is also on the Mediation and Conciliation Panel (Ministry of Corporate Affairs). Internationally she trained at the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution Pepperdine and the Aranda Series Program (ICMW), Sage, Singapore. She achieved two international standings namely as the Accredited Mediator with SIMI (Singapore) and the IMI Mediation Advocacy Accreditation.

Prerna played a pivotal role in the World Bank’s Regulatory Compendium for South Asia, conducting meticulous legal analysis, summarizing complex orders, and compiling comprehensive reports on regulatory issues issued by Regulatory Commissions and Courts of Law. She assisted various Regulatory Commissions in developing regulations under the Electricity Act of 2003 and provided legal counsel during the drafting of a bill for the Delhi Road Transport Regulatory Commission and for the Tata Energy Resources Institute, displaying her commitment to the development of environmental law and sustainable practices in India. Additionally, she co-authored reforms in public transport provisioning and the right to information.

With a background in both Psychology and Law, Prerna also manages human resources and intellectual capital matters within the firm, implementing firm-centric personnel strategies and promoting a goal-oriented approach.
